Disability Blogs, Podcasts & More
Our November 2011 Disability Roundtable topic was Get Connected: The Disability Community Online. We were surprised by the amount of interest and so we committed to having a section of our website devoted to the on-line disability community.
Blogs are typically defined as a type of personal journal where people write about a particular topic or their personal experiences.
Vlog (video-blog) is the term being used in the Deaf community to refer to blogs that are produced in American Sign Language.
Podcasts are a series of audio or video files that people can subscribe to and occur at reguarly scheduled times, much like a TV news broadcast.
A word of caution - blogs and podcasts are written from the perspective of the individual authors. The views and information in the links below do not necessarily reflect our disability perspective.
